Week 5 Part 1

Sandwich Brawl

I started looking into two different sandwich chains. Subway, and Hungry Bear. What is different between the two, Is there a cross over between each of them? Finally, Which of them is the better option to go for.

Let's start with Subway, everyone knows what subway is. It is a "healthy" alternative to any other fast-food restaurant. They have breakfast items such as the Bacon Egg and Cheese flatbread or you could even get a Steak Egg and cheese flatbread. There are so many options for you to eat healthier. However, their website and their social brand is all about freshness and how eating subway could actually help you lose weight if you make the right choices. Their social media outlets are very easy to come by as well as seeing all they have to offer. They stay on brand by showing, in the beginning, all the healthy and fresh options they have. When looking at all the pictures and all the options to me personally it all looks fake and processed. It doesn't look appetizing what so ever. Even though yes, there are becoming more high tech in a lot of the ideas they are doing, by the way, they have there own App now where you can order anywhere. Is it really worth it though?

Now onto the next company which would be Hungry Bear Deli & Sub. When you first load onto the page it shows there logo while the page is still loading up. It makes it more intriguing and interesting to find out what sandwiches they have. In the first few seconds, you see a slide show of a couple of there sandwiches it looks real and fresh. When you scroll a little further down you can notice that their social media platforms are the images of bottle caps. Very unique. Looking into there website it shows that everything is freshly made, nothing is processed or frozen. They have different options from patty melts, to Philly cheesesteak. Their customer base seems to love this sandwich shop, it looks so appetizing. Everything seems family-friendly, along with the look of their website is very relaxing, and easy to find the perfect parts.

Now between these two restaurants, would I want to spend more money on quality food, nor would I want to only spend six-dollars on a sub that will upset my stomach later on? It all depends on the customers. Personally, from learning about the subway, and eating there a couple times. The food is never fresh, the chicken is always cold and tastes processed. It has a poor quality of food, as well as having a website that doesn't run functionally. However, even though personally I have never been to Hungry Bear Deli & Sub I would rather support and go for this type of company. They have a fantastic fan base, as well as being a mom and pop shop. You can see how well the quality of food is just by looking at the pictures.
