Week 17: Final Blog Post

Final Blog Post

This class was an amazing time. I've learned so much in order for the course of 17 weeks. Many things have changed in my mind on how I view social media now. Seeing that my viewpoint prior to this class was all over the place. I never knew what to really explain on the sites. Now I have a clear idea on how to approach and promote certain ideas to gain more customers. I never knew prior to this class all the options that social media sites use for business. It is almost like a whole other site in itself. Now knowing how to use these different tools to help open my horizon when working with Marry Me Wedding Designs.

Seeing all the different types of services are quite astounding. Facebook has so many options to help a business owner manage their page and work towards bettering themselves.  Working with Facebook this term has helped me better understand how to engage customers. I've made about 18 followers so far and I hope to gain more throughout this career course. I've also learned that if you engage with your customers it increases interactions and helps your business grow. Using these sites has helped my business grow, more people I've never met have messaged me about scheduling a booking which is fantastic.

There are many new ways of discovering social media sites. I never knew how to work a business side for Instagram before. I've found it really interesting how it works. It goes off of your personal profile. Personally, I didn't really like that. I always want to keep my home life and work life separate. Although being on social media myself I can see it will be quite difficult to do that. Instagram has different options than Facebook with the Hashtag tool. Making it easier to grow as a business and getting my business out there.

Learning about different ways to catch the customer's attention was greatly helpful. I never really understood how businesses did that. Seeing now it is a process on how to go about posting. Before taking this class I always thought that their posts were all random. Now taking this class I can see it wasn't, you have to plan it out, making sure you catch the customer's eye, having them want to come and check out your page. Making sure you stay in touch with your customer base engaging with them. It can really help your business more people that know more people that would want to make an appointment.

Seeing all these options I've learned so much more about what it is like to run a social media site for a business. Looking at all of our classmate's pages I would actually order from Rebel Rose Designs. Their products seem to be so engaging and her posts draw you in. No matter what type of business you are in Social Media is a great source to help strengthen your ability as an entrepreneur to create and build an amazing business.

Week 16: Planning Your Future

Social Media

Facebook

Personally, I loved using Facebook the most. It made it easier to watch comments, following other pages, and as well as watching how many people viewed my page. Using this helped keep me organized, with scheduling posts, commenting on my customer's posts and I was able to access my Instagram account as well through facebook. Even though the other sites are great, I really only would use facebook. The only downfall is that my account did get hacked. I find a bit worry some but otherwise it is a great site to use.

Planning Future Strategy

Social Media which one?

With my type of business, I would have to market on three different social media accounts. It would be beneficial for my business using these because being in the Wedding Planning business your customers mostly focus on these three. Another idea I've had was making a Youtube account just for the business so that way my customers would see first hand on how things work, what my design portion is like as well as seeing how the wedding comes together.

Pinterest

Using Pinterest is a key form for my type of work. Many brides/grooms use this site to see different ideas. Such as color, table settings, floral arrangements, wedding dress, and even cake ideas. The possibilities of this are endless. That's why making a page and posting different stuff from my customer's wedding would be most beneficial to my business.

Facebook

Even from what I've said before I would still use this social media source most often as well. Many people use Facebook, seeing different groups, different ideas and having it all come together. Using the scheduling tool to schedule posts. The reason why I would use this tool most of all is that when I'm busy working on another task I am still posting regularly so that way I would gain more of a follower base. Also using the advertisement tool to help grow my customer base as well.

Instagram

I would still use Instagram but not as much as I will the rest. I would implement the hashtag tool mostly to maybe help gain more followers. Even though everyone says that Instagram is a great business tool for me my business would use it but not as much.

Scheduling

Facebook

I would make a post 3 days a week: It's during Christmas time so I will be posting about decorating the Christmas tree, showing off new bouquets I will be making, and as well as pumping up springtime which is prime time for weddings.

Pinterest

I will be making posts once a week about Christmas and wedding ideas. Hyping up the seasons and getting ready for spring as well. With Pinterest its a lot easier to post when I have a client getting married and using some pictures or new ideas to post. Otherwise, Pinterest is left on the side until then.

How much will they grow?

With how much I will be posting to Facebook it would grow maybe by 20 likes so far. Without using any of the advertisements yet my business isn't quite out there as of now. By the end of next year, it would be without a doubt more customers and more of a Pinterest base as well.

Week 15: Facebook

Data Analysis

With Facebook, they have an option where you can see how your page is progressing and what things you need to fix or how to make your page better. Unfortunately, my Facebook business page is still hacked and hasn't been fixed yet, still waiting for facebook to contact me to help me.

Week 15: Google

Google Tools

When going through and seeing what Google has to offer to help your business grow. It is quite amazing. There are more options to help a person figure out the next steps for their business.

Knowing your customers

They have an option where your customers if wish to fill out a survey that you control, so you know which areas to work on, or hear your customers feedback as to what they felt your service did for them. That way your customers stay anonymous and you get the answers you need in order to help your business grow.

Testing and Analysis

You can also run your website through different servers to see how your business will run. Without having to change much. As well as there is an option for you to manage your tags without having to change your code at all. (Which I find quite nice) You can also see what your customers gravitate to most when using analysis. This helps you deliver better services to your customers without any hassle.

My Take

When looking through these options for having a small business I can see how much this will benefit me. I will get a closer understanding of how my customers reacted to certain things. What I can do as a business owner to help my business grow more. Or how to fix certain problems that my customers are facing and think of a better outcome. There are many different ways Google Business could help strengthen my career I highly recommend anyone that is starting their own business to please check this out.
